Green Flight International, LLC was formed for the purpose of developing, manufacturing and promoting advanced renewable forms of energy.  The primary focus has been developing and commercializing biofuel technologies and marketing the economic and environmental benefits of liquid “Green Fuels” derived from algae. Algae derived fuel is the only feasible solution to a petroleum “drop in” replacement.

Green Flight International has become one of the world’s leading promoters of biofuel by literally pioneering the use of renewable fuels in aviation. The development of a GFI test program and certification by the Federal Aviation Administration for the use of 100% Green Fuel in a jet engine, led to the World’s first jet flight using 100% renewable fuel. The Green Flight Team set a second World aviation record by flying the first United States Transcontinental jet flight powered by biofuel. 

Green Flight International CEO, Douglas Rodante, piloted both record setting flights which stimulated a flurry of international media coverage within the aviation and energy industries. After creating a point of reference to the future possibilities of renewable fuels in aviation, GFI began a feasibility study to determine the current technological and political challenges in the commercialization process of algae based fuels. Subsequently, negotiations and collaborations began with the most technologically advanced corporations and universities in the country in order to expedite this goal.

The GFI services division has staffed an experienced Carbon Credit Consultation team with members who served on the original UNFCCC (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change) panel. To compliment the carbon credit revenue generated internally, as well as by our clients, we are in development of an ECN (electronic communications network). The ECN is a platform for Buyers and Sellers to trade Carbon Credits on the international exchanges.
